My heart sincerely goes out to anyone suffering at the hands of the recession. The matter has affected home life here as well. I knew it was bad but not this severe. Over the course of three and a half months, I have had two, two, interviews. I've been applying for any jobs which I remotely qualify but it's difficult to find many. It's simply mind boggling. Yes, I know. I know I'm lucky to have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and food in the cabinets. That's a lot more than what many have, so I have no room to complain.
Speaking of complaining, hubby and I seem to argue more. We both realize that the source of contention is the current financial constraint and job loss rate. Despite the situation, we're able to recognize and appreciate the fact we're coping with it from a reasonable (and sometimes humorous) perspective. The constant job search is beginning to take a physical and emotional toll. I have this mental picture of swinging on a rope and yelling, "Wheeeee!" :oÞ
Ropes. With that thought, I can think of a few people who should be strung up by their nether ... *ahem* ..toes. I feel for the laid off auto workers but have no sympathy for the officials holding their hands out for bailout funds. They have the audacity to do such a thing while so many people suffer.
The eyes are beginning to grow heavy, so off I go.

I'll be updating as time allows. The fishbowl was feeling a bit cramped. In case anyone would like to use the template, it can be found at FinalSense. Amazing graphics at this site which I highly recommend.
A belated happy new year to one and all. May it be a prosperous one. <3
